gujjar bakarwals are the pastoralists of jammu and kashmir. they herd goat and sheep. hills has regrown for the animals to eat. they earn monet mostly by selling the products of animals they rear.

They are traditionally, and still mainly, goatherds and shepherds. They reside in the entire Kashmir region between India and Pakistan, and in the Nuristan province of Afghanistan.
