⭐Iltutmish or Altamash was a ruler of Slave dynasty in the Delhi Sultanate.

⭐He ruled from A.D 1211 to 1236

⭐He was a Slave of Qutab-ud-din Aibak; The founder of Slave dynasty.

⭐Due to his bravery and courage he was raised in his post and Qutab-ud-din Aibak married his daughter to Iltutmish.

⭐He was the one who issued copper coins known as 'tanka' and silver coins known as 'Jital', these coins were used throughout the Sultanate Period.

⭐He also started the Turkan-i-chahalghani or chalisa (a group of 40 influential turkish nobles)

⭐ He was one of the most brave rulers of Delhi sultanate and appointed his daughter Razia as his successor.
