He was an educated scholar who became an icon in the class struggle . Lived in Germany but was very progressive to change .Wrote books like the communist manifesto with Frederick Engels in 1848( haves and have nots or rich elite versus poor majority) . Karl Marx also wrote Das Kapital , the Paris Commune , and Engels also wrote Utopia He did not like capitalism , classism or other divisions but was a champion of the greater good like helping the poor . He and other leaders like Trotsky , Bolsheviks and the reds helped cast out the old order ( monarchs , middle class , oligarchs etc ) and start the revolution in Russia . He felt that most of history was oppression of common folks by clergy , tyrants and the wealthy and believed one day over time the entire globe would eventually become socialist . Other suggestions are perhaps Mensheviks versus Bolsheviks , Joseph Stalins ideas , Maoism in China, and modern communist states like Cuba , North Korea and Angola .
Marx claimed that capitalism was nothing more than a necessary stepping stone for the progression ofman, which would then face a political revolution before embracing the classless society. Marxists define capital as "a social, economic relation" between people (rather than between people and things).
