Heyya!
During the revolutionary period clubs became the most successful rallying point for those people who wished to disuss government policies and plan their own action. The most successful of these clubs was the jacobin club who get their name from the convent of St. Jacob in paris. These included daily wage workers, peasants, servants, artisans etc. Their leader was Maximiliam Robspeare. They wanted to abbolish the monarchy and become a republic. The jacobins soon started wearing clothes simillar to each other which symbolised liberty. In the summers of 1972, the jacobins abbolished the monarchy and declared France a republic.
Hope it helps!☺️
