the writer of the story "how i taught my grandmother to read" was "Sudha Murthy". she was born in Karnataka on 19 August 1950. and was married to N.R. Narayan Murthy. she is an philanthropist and also a writer in Kannada and English language. her career was of a computer scientist. she has been awarded with Padma Shri award. some of her famous books are gently falls the Bakula,the day i stopped drinking,the old man and his god,ect.
