MS. Swaminathan is regarded as the father of the green revolution in India.

The green revolution brought about a big change in the agricultural infrastructure of the nation. There was a nationwide industrialisation of the agricultural procedures in India. The High Yielding Variety (HYV) of seeds and wheat were brought into the scenario by Swaminathan. Fertilizers , tractors and ploughing machines became more common in usage along with some other modern farming equipments.
