Answer:

[tex][/tex] Who was Uncle Khsorov ?

Uncle Khosrov is the uncle of the protagonist Aram. He is notorious for his bad temper. He is highly impatient and set aside any problem without even listening to the details. When his son reported that their house is on fire, he shouted the same 'It's no harm, pay no attention to it'.

What kind of man he was?

Uncle Khusrove was a hot headed, impatient and irritable man.He was an enormous man with a head full of black hair and had the biggest moustache in San Joaquin valley. He was insensitive and disinterested in other people’s problems, which is why when anyone started talking, he would cut them off by saying “ It’s no harm, pay no attention to it.” He had the same reaction when his son told him that his house was on fire.

He was a rigid man whose insensitivity is almost comical. His indifferent attitude is the reason why the narrator calls him crazy. The narrator believed that Mourad had taken after him because when he stole the horse, he was indifferent to his family values and the fact that he may spoil the Garoghlanian family’s centuries old reputation just for a horse.

Uncle Khusrove seems like an insensitive person but that is because he has seen great adversities in life. The loss of his homeland had left a deep impact on his mind, permanently desensitising him to the problems others may have, because their problems feel so small as compared to the tragic loss he had experienced.
