While enjoying the ecstacy the pitter patter of the rain on the roof had to offer, the poet fondly remembers his/her beloved mother, while laying on the floor. His/Her mind drifts back to the memories of the time when she was alive, fit and fine. All kinds of memories - good ones and regretful ones - are reminisced by him/her nostalgically. This makes her/him weep.
