The Bolsheviks, originally also Bolshevists or Bolsheviki, were a faction of the Marxist Russian Social Democratic Labour Party which split apart from the Menshevik faction at the Second Party Congress in 1903.

first the was a socialist party in Russia known as rsdw Russian socialist democratic workers party and later was divided into two parties the Bolsheviks and the mensheviks. Bolsheviks were led by lenin and mensheviks we're led by Julius martov and later Bolsheviks ruled Russia and change it's name to Russian communist party
