Who were bolsheviks and mensheviks during russian revolution

At the time of 'Russian Revolution' ,the peasants /workers were consists of rich and poor. So, Lenin felt them as not one united group.
Later, this group was divided in two groups, namely the Bolshevik party which was led by Lenin while the other part named Menshevik was open to all.
