The Russian Social democratic Party which was split apart mensheivik (minority) and bosheivik (majority)..
As Bolshevik leader, Lenin had very clear objectives for what he wanted to achieve..
1) Actually there was intense conflict between the provitional government and the bolsheiviks..
2) After heavy fighting bolsheiviks controlled Moscow and Petrograd..
3) Bolsheiviks promised the workers "peace, bread, land"..
4) Finally Bolsheiviks overthrew the provitional government..

Hope it helps you..
