Devaraya II, King of Vijaynagara, built the Hazar Rama Temple. It was built in the early 15th century, it was constructed as a simple structure. It comprised of only a sanctum, pillared hall n Ardha mandapa. However, later it was revamped for an open porch and beautiful pillars.

Vijay Vithal Temple was built during the rule of Devaraya II in 15th century. Many potions of the Temple were expanded and enhanced by Krishnadevaraya, who was the most famous ruler of the Vijaynagara dynasty
