Dalit's were the lower caste people, they were known as dalit's because they thought these people were in untouchable. the term dalit means Broken.

The basis on which they were discriminated are as follows-

  • Their caste
  • Their religion
  • Their race
  • Their colour
  • Their place of birth

Now Untouchability is abolished but you may or may not sometimes see some scenes of Untouchability in real life. But this is still going on
