gujjar bakarwals are the pastoralists of jammu and kashmir.they herd goat and sheep.

There movement is :in summers the stay in the top hills to protect there animals from hot weather

and as the winter aproaches they move towards south and as the time aproaches the fodder in the

 hills has regrown for the animals to eat.

they earn monet mostly by selling the products of animals they rear.And some also do cultivation.
