The daffodils were a jocund and happy company.
The people we spend time with are the people we keep company with.
In the same poem the poet is among the lively and happy daffodils and he feels that same merriment when he is among them. The way they move when the breeze is blowing gives the impression that the daffodils are dancing with joy. That is why he calls them a merry , happy and jolly company.
