Hey Mate !!

Louis XVI was the last king from Bourbon dynasty before the downfall of Bourbon dynasty. He became the king of France in 1774. He married the Princess of Australia, Marie Antoinne. He was not much successful king of French.

As, he helped America in the American war of Independence against British. This resulted in the empty of treasure of France. This made Louis XVI to impose heavy taxes and division of estates.

The estates were Clergy, Nobility and 3rd estate. Only 3rd estate people had to pay the taxes. Who were poor people and peasants. This gave rise to French Revolution. In this way Louis XVI became infamous.

Hi,

Your answer :

Born August 23, 1754 in Versailles, he is the grandson of Louis XV and Marie Leszczynska.

First duke of Berry, he became king on May 10, 1774, and was crowned in Reims on June 11, 1775.

He married during the lifetime of Louis XV, Marie Antoinette Archduchess of Austria, May 16, 1770.

At the death of Louis XV, Louis XVI disgraced Maupeou, former minister of his grandfather and appointed Maurepas, Vergennes and Turgot, in 1774.

That same year, the parliament he has just recalled, addresses remonstrances he accepts.

In 1775 a riot broke out in Paris following the rise of bread. Malesherbes then enters the government.

In 1776, Necker joined the government, Malesherbes resigned and Turgot was disgraced.

In 1780, Necker was dismissed (he had communicated to the king a report in which he advised to create regional assemblies to limit the powers of parliamentarians. This report was communicated to Parliament by the Count of Provence).

In 1783, Calonne was appointed Minister of Finance.

In 1783 and 1784, two severe winters reduced the harvest of wheat.

Good bye :)
