Mughals were the Muslim dynasty that ruled Delhi and other parts of India from 1526–1857. Babur, the founder of the Mughal empire was from Turco-Mongol dynasty of Chagatai origin from Central Asia. Mughal empire was formed after the first battle of panipat where Babur defeted Ibrahim Lodi to form the empire.

Muhi-ud-Din Muhammad, commonly known by the sobriquet Aurangzeb or by his regnal title Alamgir, was the sixth Mughal emperor, who reigned for a period of 49 years from 1658 until his death in 1707.

Aurangzeb Alamgir, the sixth ruler of the Mughal Empire, is the most hated king in Indian history. He ruled for nearly 50 years, from 1658 until 1707, the last great imperial power in India before British colonialism. According to many, he destroyed India politically, socially and culturally. He was one of the most hated man in indian history.
