Nomads are the people who move from one place to another in search of pasture and fodder for their cattle.  They also sell wood, leather,milk and milk products.

Banjaras  are also nomadic herders who resides prominently in the states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab. They move in search of pastureland and for their cattle.  While they are moving they sell products like wool, leather and hides.  They do all this in exchange for fodder and for grain.

Banjaras are a community usually described as nomadic people from the north western belt of Indian subcontinent, but as per they are found on the other side of India also.

They were traditionally suppliers of bullocks and salt merchants.  And most of the Banjaras are bilingual or multilingual  adopting the predominant language of their surrounding.

Banjara art is rich and includes performance arts such as dance and music to folk and plastic arts such as Rangoli, textile embroidery, tattooing and painting.

They are found all over India and they worship gods like Hanuman,Jagadamba Devi and mahadev.
