People who followed the teachings of Kabir and were his followers were known as Kabirpanthis. One of the best-known followers of Kabir was Dadu who was born in the year 1544 and died in the year 1603.
The people who then followed the teachings of Dadu were later known as Dadupanthis. The Dadupanthis strictly followed the path led by Dadu and abided to his teachings.
