The citizens of France during the French Revolution were divided in to two categories which were: 1) active citizens and 2) passive citizens.
The Active citizens were approximately four million. And they were only men, females were not considered as active citizens as they didn’t had the voting rights.
Active citizens also had share in government. Passive citizens were slaves, women and kids who had no voting rights.
