The Chandelas of Jejakabhukti were a royal dynasty in Central India. They ruled much of the Bundelkhand region (then called Jejakabhukti) between the 9th and the 13th centuries.

The Chandellas were the rulers of the land between the Yamuna and Narmada rivers. Khajuraho was the capital of Chandella rulers. It has many beautiful Temples built by the Chandellas. Kritivarman was the most powerful ruler of the dynasty.
