*They mainly belonged to the less prosperous sections of society
*They include small shopkeepers,artisans (shoemaker,pastry cooks,watch makers) servants and daily wage workers
*The leader of the club is maximillian Roberspirre
*The jacobins decided to wear long striped trousers similar to harbour/dock workers and that's why they came to be known as sans culottes
*They also worn red caps that symbolised liberty
