A kingmaker is a person or group that has great influence on a royal or political succession, without themselves being a viable candidate. Kingmakers may use political, monetary, religious, and military means to influence the succession.

Sayyid Brothers.

Explanation:

  • Abdulla Khan and Hussain Ali Khan were the two brothers who were known as the Sayyid brothers.
  • These two brothers helped Farrukh Siyar to become the emperor of the Mughal Empire.
  • After him, they placed Rafi-Ud-Darajat to the Mughal throne on date 28th February 1719.
  • They two managed all the administrative affairs of  Rafi-Ud-Darajat.
  • After  Rafi-Ud-Darajat, the Sayyid brothers set Rafi-ud-daulah (also called Shah Jahan II) to the Mughal throne.
  • At last, they made Muhammad Shah, the emperor of the Mughal empire in the year 1719.
  • As they were not actually the king but they were the one who decided the next Mughal emperor, so they came to be known as the Kingmakers.
