Explanation:

The Second Battle of Tarain was fought in 1192 by the Ghurids against the Chahamanas and their allies, near Tarain (modern Taraori in Haryana, India). The Ghurid king Mu'izz al-Din defeated Prithiviraj Chauhan Rajput King Of Delhi and Ajmer, thus avenging his earlier defeat at the First Battle of Tarain.

1st battle of Tarain:-

•It was fought on 13 November 1191 at Tarain (present day 'Tarori') in Haryana.

•This battle was fought between the armies of Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan and the armies of Muhammad Ghori (Mu'izz Al-Din)

•In this battle Prithviraj Chauhan defeated Muhammad Ghori and Ghori's dream of invading India couldn't succeed this time.

•After the battle,Prithviraj Chauhan retook the fortress of Tabarhindah fort.

2nd battle of Tarain:-

•It was fought in the year 1192 at the same place Tarain (present day 'Tarori') in Haryana.

•This battle was again fought between Prithviraj Chauhan and Muhammad Ghori.

•In this battle,the opposite thing happened with respect to 1st battle of Tarain. Muhammad Ghori defeated Prithviraj Chauhan this time,thus avenging his defeat at the 1st battle of Tarain.

•After the battle Muhammad Ghori conquered much of North-India including Delhi and Ajmer.
