The word 'Pharaoh' comes from Per aa meaning 'Large house'. The Egyptian rulers were called Pharahos from about 1500 BC. The Pharaho was worshipped like a god. He was the topmost Judge and the Supreme commander of the people. One of the most famous Pharaho was Ramses II. He built the temple of Abu Single in order to show his power in the Southern part of the country. the Pharaho Cheops built the great Pyramid of Giza. Almost all graves have been robbed by treasure seekers. The Grave of the young Tutankhamen, Discovered in 1922, was the only Grave in which archeologist found golden Grave furnishings.
