Answer:

The Pratiharas were part of Gurjara. The Gurjaras/White Huns interred India about 5th century and established kingdoms across India. However, they mixed with Kushan’s and that’s why Kasnas are part of Gurjars.

The logic of Indian historians that Gurjaras are of Indian origin is not logical as Huna/Gurjara came from Gurjistan (Georgia) and that’s why they were mentioned in history as Jurz by Almasudi an Arab historian and in other places they are called Khazar which is another name of people living in the Caucasus region around Caspin sea like Georgia, Chechnya etc. One of the subcaste of Gujjars is Huna as well as Tomar Gujjars are the offsprings of Toramana - Wikipedia. If in case the Gujjars and Huns were not the same people and Gujjars had Indian lineage then why would the Gujjar kings use the title “Mihir” Mihira Bhoja - Wikipedia same as Mihirakula - Wikipedia. Furthermore, the folk story of the Hindu god Devnarayan - Wikipedia whose grand father was Half Man and Half Lion is another form of the story of the origin of the Turkic people, where it is claimed that they are offsprings of a wolf and a man. Another evidence of their Gorgistani/Georgian origin is the existence of the name of Goga or Googa or Guga in India.
