SER and RER are different on the basis of presence and absence of ribosomes. SER helps synthesis of fats, RER helps in synthesis of proteins because it have ribosomes. Golgi help in detaxification. Endoplasmic reticulum helps in cellular transport

Explanation:

1) Rough and smooth ER (endoplasmic reticulum) differ in that the rough ER has ribosomes on it. These take the Messenger RNA and transcribe it into proteins which then enter the space inside the rough ER. Smooth ER does not have ribosomes and is where steroids are made.

2)Intracellular transport, via membrane-bound carriers, is essential for proper functioning of a cell. It, for instance, delivers newly synthesized proteins via the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and the Golgi complex to the location where they can perform their function.

3)SER stands for smooth endoplasmic reticulum which helps in the manufacture of fat molecules ,or lipids , important for cell function. RER stands for rough endoplasmic reticulum which looks rough under a microscope because it has particles called ribosomes attached to its surface.

4)Smooth endoplasmic reticulum in liver cells of vertebrates helps in detoxifying poisons and drugs.

5)Membrane biogenesis is the process of formation of the biological membrane. It involves the synthesis of cell membranes with the help of proteins and lipids. Endoplasmic Reticulum is responsible for membrane biogenesis. Membranes which as synthesized help in dividing the cell into structural and functional components.
