i would recommend it to my family and friends because through the novel we experience the hardships and problems in the life of the dust bowl migrants. The books language is wonderful. Steinbeck narrates it clean,descriptive and heart wrenching prose, while his characters speak in gritty dialects that make you feel like you are right there with them.
