Written by an English author Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre is depicts the women character in Victorian era in Jane Eyre. Jane, a young woman, is independent and able to take her decisions. She met many characters during her journey and examples include Mr. Rochester, who loves her but frequently give her orders. On the contrary Jane believes in women’s independent and strives to maintain her position in life. The firm desire for independence by Jane depicts the patriarchal society.
