The author of Kitab – ul – Hind was Alberuni and it contains comments on Hindu religious beliefs, Indian sciences, customs and social organization. Al Beruni was a polymath and an Iranian scholar from Khwarezm which is modern day Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
