Mahabharata was watched by Ved Vyas, but he was finding a person who can wrote that full heroic epic. Then he went to Lord Shiva, then Shiv suggested him to took Ganesha, Ganesha agreed. Then Vyas said him that he had to write continuously after knowing all its meanings, and Ganesha told him that he had to tell the story continuously, if he stops then he will stop his writing.

Atlast, they sat on a valley of Himalaya, in a cave beside the road where Pandavas along with Draupadi went to heaven.

Then Vyas continuous his tell and Ganesh continuous his writing.

By this way, we get Mahabharata.
