Gitgovind is known to have been composed by Jayadev (Odissa). He lived near Puri temple during 1100s. Two of his great things I liked.

1. He is understood to have identified what we call The ten manifestation of Lord Vishnu or “dasaavathar. Saint Sanankaracharya confirmed these ten manifestation of God starting with Matsy,….. to Kalki.
