Whobis Nancy? Why did Hellen say "I will not have occasion to refer to Nancy again"?

Nancy is Helen's doll.

Helen once took her went on a trip. There her doll Nancy became very much dirty. So the maid took her and gave her a bath due to it, Nancy became heap of cotton, only her 2 beda eyes could be held and so Helen regreted and said the following sentence "I will not have an occasion to refer to Nancy again"...
