I hope this can help U and pls drop some thanks

Explanation:

1)Increasing the surface area of the brain allows more neurons to be packed into the cortex so that it can process more information. Gyri and sulci form brain divisions by creating boundaries between the lobes of the brain and dividing the brain into two hemispheres.

2)The thalamus regulates sleep, alertness and wakefulness, whereas the hypothalamus regulates body temperature, hunger, fatigue and metabolic processes in general.

3)Cerebrum: is the largest part of the brain and is composed of right and left hemispheres. It performs higher functions like interpreting touch, vision and hearing, as well as speech, reasoning, emotions, learning, and fine control of movement.

4)The brain and spinal cord are protected by bony structures — the skull and spinal column. Meninges are membranes that cover and protect the brain and spinal cord. There are three layers of meninges: Dura mater, which is closest to the bone.

5)Its functions include relaying sensory and motor signals to the cerebral cortex and regulating consciousness, sleep, and alertness. The thalamus surrounds the third ventricle and is the main product of the embryonic diencephalon.

6) Energy in the brain is generated almost exclusively from a form of metabolism that requires oxygen. However, neurons only maintain a small reserve of energy and these cells require a continuous supply of oxygen, especially when the cells are firing and communicating with their neighbors
