1) The autonomic nervous system is also called the visceral nervous system because it controls smooth muscle, cardiac muscle, and glands, which make up the viscera of the body.

2) The neuroendocrine system is made up of special cells called neuroendocrine cells. Neuroendocrine cells are like nerve cells (neurons), but they also make hormones like cells of the endocrine system (endocrine cells). They receive messages (signals) from the nervous.

3) The major difference between the endocrine and exocrine gland is that, an endocrine gland is missing ducts and stays as blocks of tissue. -Endocrine gland secretes chemical substances directly to the blood stream, while exocrine gland secrets its product into a duct. system and respond by making and releasing hormones.

4) The pituitary gland is sometimes called the "master" gland of the endocrine system because it controls the functions of many of the other endocrine glands. The gland is attached to the hypothalamus (a part of the brain that affects the pituitary gland) by nerve fibers and blood vessels.

Hormones Secreted :

Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormones (LH).

5) I) Adrenaline is produced in the medulla in the adrenal glands as well as some of the central nervous system's neurons.

ii) Testosterone is the male sex hormone that is made in the testicles.

iii) Organs in the body (including the breast and uterus) and as a chemical messenger in the brain, controlling key aspects of the reproductive system, including childbirth and lactation, and aspects of human behaviour.

6) The most important hormone that the pancreas produces is insulin. Insulin is released by the 'beta cells' in the islets of Langerhans in response to food. Its role is to lower glucose levels in the bloodstream and promote the storage of glucose in fat, muscle, liver and other body tissues.

Hope it helps ☺️
