Answer:

Experiment to show that they contains water of crystallisation

1. Arrange the apparatus as shown

2. Take about 5 g of powdered hydrated copper(II) sulphate in the test-tube.

3.Start heating the  blue copper(II) sulfate until turns white.

4. On heating , the blue vitriol looses its water of crystallization and turns anhydrous and as white powder .

5. The water will flow from discharge tube to container .

5.  Allow the anhydrous copper(II) sulfate to cool back at room temperature.
