Answer

1. The difference between Greenwich and allahabad is 5 hours and 30 Minutes.

As after every15 degree 1 hour is added (if place is situated im east side of Greenwich and subtracted if place in west of Greenwich) so,

15×5=75.

Also after every 1 degree 4 minutes are added (if place is situated im east side of Greenwich and subtracted if place in west of Greenwich) so, remaining 7 degrees is

7×4=28

also if 1degree is equal to 4 minute so 1/2(30) is equal to 2 minutes so

28+2=30

In this way it is 5h and 30 min.

2. On place X time will be8:04 PM

as difference between both place is 134 degree so time difference between both places is 8h and 56min. Here when we goes from east side towards west side time will subtracted. Also places situated east of date line is one day ahead to the countries situated on west of date line. So on place X the day is Wednesday

Answer:

The latitude and longitude of Allahabad, India is:

25° 27' 0" N / 81° 51' 0" E

The latitude and longitude of Imphal, India is:

24° 49' 0" N / 93° 57' 0" E

So Imphal is 12ⁿ6′ (12 degrees and 6 minutes east of Allahabad.

Time varies at the rate of 4 minutes per degree of longitude travelled.

(24 hoursx60minutes per hour divided by 360 degrees)

Allahabad is 12degrees and 6 minutes west of Imphal so we lose

12.1x4 minutes per degree= 48.4 minutes or 48minutes:24seconds.

So when its 4 pm at Imphal, its 3:11:36pm or 11minutes and 36 seconds past 3:00pm at Allahabad.
