3x + y = 10 .....(1)

x - y = 2 .......(2)

adding equation (1) and (2) , we get

4x = 12

=> x = 12/4 = 3

put this value in equ (2) ,we get

3 - y = 2

=> y = 3 - 2

=> y = 1

hence , x = 3 and y = 1

hope it help you

Answer:

3x + y = 10.....equation \: 1

x - y = 2.....equation \: 2

equation \: 1 + 2

 =  > 4x = 12 \\  =  > x = 3

substitute \: x \: value \: in \: equation \: 2

3 - y = 2

y = 1

so \: value s\: of \: x,y \: are \: 3,1
