Prabhakara Vardhana, a king from Vardhana family extended his control over the neighnouring states, and he was the first king of Vardhana dynasty.

After his death in 605, his eldest son, Rajya Vardhana, ascended the throne, and Harsha Vardhana was the younger brother of Rajya Varshana.
