Let the length of the rectangle be 4x and breadth be 3x

Thus,perimeter of the rectangle----

2(4x+3x)

=14x

Cost of fencing the park=Rs 2135(Rs 15.5/m)

Now,As per question----

14x×15.25=2135

14x=2135/15.25

14x=140

x=140/14

x=10

Thus,length of the rectangle=4×10=40m

breadth of the rectangle=3×10=30m

Perimeter of the rectangle=2(l+b)

2(40+30)

2×70=140m

Given:-

  • The length and breadth of apark rectangular park  are in the ratio 4:3.
  • The cost of fencing the  park at 15.25 per metre is 2135.

To find:-

  • Perimeter of the park
  • Sides of the rectangular park

Solution:-

Given that for every meter the cost is 15.25.

And the cost of fencing(perimeter) the all the park is 2135.

\tt \large \blue{So\:the\:perimeter\:is=\dfrac{2135}{15.25} =140m}

Now to find the length and breadth of Park

Given that the sides are in the ratio 4:3

Let the sides be 4x and 3x

So,

\tt perimeter=2(l+b)=140m\\  \\\tt\Rightarrow 2(4x+3x)=140m\\ \\ \tt \Rightarrow 2(7x)=140m\\ \\ \tt\Rightarrow 7x=\cancel{\dfrac{140}{2}}\\\\ \tt \Rightarrow 7x=70m \\\\ \tt x=10

 \tt \large\bf \green{So,\:sides\: are :-}\\\\ \tt \blue{\rightarrow</p><p>4x = 4(10) = 40m}\\ \tt \blue{\rightarrow </p><p>3x = 3(10) = 30m}
