‘Vasco Da Gama’ was the European traveler who never returned to Europe and settled down in India.
Explanation:
- Vasco Da Gama was a Portuguese explorer, who was one of the “most successful searchers” of the European discovery era and commander of ships traveling directly from India to Europe, which reached India via the “Cape of Good Hope”, the southern corner of Africa. He came to India three times by ship.
- Vasco is also known as the protector of the important naval and Christian religion of the ‘Arabian Sea’, besides India (by maritime roads) explorer.
