Whose surface area is increased in mitochondria? Is it organelle's or inner membrane's surface area is increased ??

inner membrane. because it is in zig zag shape which increase the surface area.

The inner mitochondrial membrane contains all of the components of the electron transport system and the ATP synthase complex; it also has many invaginations, called cristae, that greatly increase its total surface area.
