Causes of the Battle of Plassey

1-The rampant misuse of the trade privileges given to the British by the Nawab of Bengal.

2-Non-payment of tax and duty by the workers of the British East India Company.

3-However, the immediate reason was the conspiracy of Robert Clive with Mir Jafar. British also started the fortification of Calcutta which was opposed by the Nawab.
