Answer:

when CO2 is passed through lime water ...the water turns to milky white precipotate..

it disappears when excess CO2 is passed because it forms calcium bicarbonate which is water soluble

Mathelete2004: Bro i think its calcium hydrogen carbonate
harshitha2807: bicarbonate and hydrogen carbonate...both ate same
Mathelete2004: oh ok

Answer:

Actually when CO2 is passed through lime water, the lime water turns into calcium carbonate(CaCO3). Water is also formed in this reaction.

>> CO2 + Ca(OH)2 ---> CaCO3 + H2O

Now when the products produced in the above reaction are passes through more CO2 then the calcium carbonate turns into

Calcium Hydrogen Carbonate{Ca(HCO3)2}.

>> CaCO3 + H2O ---> Ca(HCO3)2
