whst is the difference in periodic and oscillatory motion

periodic motion is like sine curve which repeats after every fixed interval of time whereas oscillatory motion is like the pendulum it keeps moving without the change of position

yupitsmekshitij: first of all we can't define motion of a object where the reference frame is also moving

yupitsmekshitij: like earth it's rotating along sun we all know but the sun is also rotation along some other planet/sun/maybe I don't know what it is but it's periodic on it's own axis as well as along orbit

yupitsmekshitij: I think both the motion of the earth are periodic coz they repeat in a equal interval of time
