Answer:

periodic motion is like sine curve which repeats after every fixed interval of time whereas oscillatory motion is like the pendulum it keeps moving without the change of position

kumarsantosh475sk: then what do you say about earth motion
yupitsmekshitij: it's periodic I think
yupitsmekshitij: first of all we can't define motion of a object where the reference frame is also moving
yupitsmekshitij: like earth it's rotating along sun we all know but the sun is also rotation along some other planet/sun/maybe I don't know what it is but it's periodic on it's own axis as well as along orbit
yupitsmekshitij: I think both the motion of the earth are periodic coz they repeat in a equal interval of time
yupitsmekshitij: assumption :- sun is stationary
yupitsmekshitij: what do u think?????????
kumarsantosh475sk: yes periodic.
