A two dimensional or a 2D is a world filled with objects with length and breadth only. Unlike a 3D world it doesn't have height.

The simplest 2D object I could suggest is a rectangle. It has its length, and breadth only. If it had height too, we would say it a cuboid instead of a rectangle.
