✨Mitochondria is double layered organelles.

✨The outer layer of the mitochondria is very porous.

✨The Inner layer of mitochondria is deeply folded. These folds create a surface area for ATP (Adenosine triphoshate) generating chemical reactions.

ATP is known as energy currency of the Cell Beacuse mitochondria gave enzymes which are necessary for the oxidation of glucose these release energy in the form of ATP.

✨The ATP molecules are released into the cytoplasm for providing energy to the various functions.
