electrolysis phenomena which take place in 3 phase

  1. decomposition of iron
  2. migration of iron towards (anode or cathode,)
  3. decomposition of iron at anode or cathode .

electrolysis takes place in electrolytic cell which contain cathodic and anodic part cathode and anode are connected to source of dc current . in electrolysis DC current are used because in DC current there is no change of its polarity that is positive and negative charge.

The extraction of aluminium takes place by the process of electrolysis.
