searle's cone method:-

It is expermental process to measure thermal conductivity of material. A bar of material is being heated by steams on one side amd the other side cooled down by water with the length of bar is thermally insulated .

According to equation :-

❣ΔQ is the heat supplied to the bar in time Δt

❣k is the coefficient of thermal conductivity of the bar.

❣A is the cross-sectional area of the bar,

❣ΔTbar is the temperature difference between each end of the bar

This method named after Fredrick Charles Searle.
