They help in decomposing the food. Decomposers such as redworms which live in the soil helps to enrich the fertility of the soil so as to produce good plants and vegetables. It eats up the waste material and produce the good nutrients for soil fertility.

Hey there!!!
Every part of ecosystem is vital to its survival --from the green plants to furry animals and microscopic bacteria.
●The group of organisms called decomposers forms the final link in the food chain.
●They break down dead animals and plants and return vital nutrients to the soil.
●Some decomposers like fungi can be seen without a microscope, but most of the decomposition process is carried out by microscopic bacteria .
Hope it helps!!!
